Courtyard

A timber door in the long wall opens onto four metres of flagstone enclosed on three sides. The walls are high enough to remove the horizon entirely, which means at night you see only the part of the sky directly above you.

There is one tree. It took eleven years and most of the greywater, and it is the only thing here that was planted rather than found. Guests who want the whole sky should book elsewhere. Guests who want to look at one part of it for a long time keep rebooking this one.
