Room 04 of 09
Cistern

The bath is cast in place, one piece, set below floor level so that when you are in it the sill sits at eye height and the opening shows nothing but wall and sky. Water is heated by day and stays hot until roughly midnight.
The sun reaches the far wall for about ninety minutes each afternoon and never reaches the water. It is the coolest room in summer and the coldest in July, and the only one guests have asked to move out of in winter.
